In-4, [16] f., [1] blank f., f.III-CCCLXXXIII, [33] f., [i.e. a total of 431 f.], fawn pastiche calf, spine with 5 nerves decorated with a gilt stippling, boxes decorated with small irons, red title page, gilt date at the end, triple gilt fillet bordering the boards, gilt fillet at the edges, inner lace, gilt edges [Lebrun] (small tears at the boards; gaps filled at the introductory ff., missing letters; restorations at the beginning of the volume, qq. letters missing on f. 3, 4, 19-21, 24-26 and 51; discreet worm spots on last 12 f.; without the last blank f.). Important incunabula Latin Bible from Lyon, established with the collaboration of Gabriele Bruno, a Venetian Franciscan, professor of Sacred Scripture, author of the first alphabetical table of the Bible. It includes at the end the "Interpretationes nominum hebraycorum". Text on 2 columns, numerous initials painted in red at the time, throughout the volume. A fine copy, carefully restored and bound in 1853 as indicated by the binder's dated signature on the tail of the spine.
