In-12, 717 pp. (including engraved title), midnight blue morocco, spine with five raised bands decorated with gilt stippling, author, title, publisher and date gilt, caissons decorated with a large cold fleuron and another gilt fleuron, boards edged with a gilt fillet and a cold roulette, guilloche corners, inner roulette, gilt edge [Simier] (headband cut off, tailband missing; stamp on illustrated title). First Elzevirian edition; pages 207 to 209 numbered 107 to 109, 212 numbered 112 (Willems 452).
