Rare first edition of this work in which Abbot Bordelon parodies the literary fashions of his time, in the form of witty and caustic dialogues between Paracelsus and Epicurus, Agrippa and Arcesilaus, Gassendi and Eudoxus, Alcméon and Pythagoras, Campanella and Anaxarchus, Galilei and Pyrrhon, Doagoras and Epictetus, Stilpon and Zoroaster, etc. Frontispiece drawn and engraved on copper by Ertinger.
