RACINE (Jean). Abridged history of Port-Royal. Work serving as Supplement to the three volumes of the works of this author. Printed in Vienna, & found in Paris, at Lottin le jeune, 1767. In-12, VIII-352 p., contemporary marbled havana calf, spine with 5 nerves, red title-piece, ornamented caissons, gilt arms at the end, cold fillet on the boards, gilt fillet on the edges, red edges (head-cap and corners worn; rare russeting). First edition of the second part, preceded by a new edition of the first part which appeared, alone, for the first time in 1764. Unidentified arms, absent from OHR, on the tail of the spine.
