[Album amicorum] [Delvaux]. Album of a young bride, Jeanne Delvaux, wife Decupper. 1894-1898. In-8, [86] p., contemporary black Russian leather, silent spine with 5 nerves, gilt fillet at the edges, gilt edges, gilt clasp (headbands and corners rubbed, unstuck, clasp incomplete). Charming album including handwritten messages, songs, poems, and drawings, most of them in pencil, including a beautiful view of Chartres cathedral, some caricatures, some floral compositions painted in colors. Jeanne Delvaux married Victor Decupper who began working at the Delvaux House in early 1896. Delvaux, a prestigious retail store selling porcelain and crystal, located at 18 rue Royale in Paris. Founded in the 1880s, it specializes in the sale of decorative art objects: decorated glasses, earthenware, porcelain and services from the houses of Haviland, Montigny le Roi, Baccarat, Choisy le Roi, Fontainebleau, Sèvres, Clichy . The works of famous artists are exhibited and sold: Clément Massier, Félix Optat Milet, Jean Mayodon, Albert Dammouse, Jean Sala, Charles Schneider.
