Translation of a Latin poem made to the glory of the very high and very powerful Prince Armand Gaston Abbot of Rohan de Soubise, Bachelor of Theology from the Faculty of Paris, and Prior of the Sorbonne, on the occasion of Louis Le Grand's panegyric that he made for the opening of the Sorbonniques in 1698. In Paris, at the home of Jean Baptiste Coignard, 1698. In-4, 9 p., [1] f. inserted, half red 19th c. grief, spine with 5 nerves, gilt title (small spots on the binding, first vignette slightly trimmed at the head by the bookbinder). Latin text signed: Fiot [canon de St-Marcel de Prémery]. Translation signed: Dom Jérôme d'Ogerdias. 2 vignettes engraved on copper: the first one of Le Clerc engraved by Benard, the second one of Ant. Dieu engraved by Mariette. This copy contains a leaf inserted between p.2-3: "Subject of the engraved vignette..." Provenance: Label ex-libris Bibliothèque du Comte F. de Rohan-Chabot.
