In-folio, speckled havana basane, smooth and ornamented spine, gilt title, red edges (wear on cuts, head covers and uncovered corners, scratches on the plates; small repair on the central fold pl.1, small wetness in the margins of pl. 8, 9 and 10; pl.9 short trimmed at the head, the running title removed) Atlas composed of 12 (of 15) map plates (52 x 72.5 cm margins included), engraved on copper and mounted on tabs. The title engraved in a large allegorical cartouche decorated with a sea horse appears on the sheet offering part of the coasts of England. The 3 leaves of the south and southeast of the map are missing. Provenance : family of Bets (Netherlands) : ex-libris armorié engraved 19th c. (Koeman II, 110).
