* [Paris]. JACOUBET (Theodore). General atlas of the suburbs and monuments of Paris by Th. Jacoubet, architect. Engraved by V. Bonnet. Dedicated and presented to Mr. le Comte de Chabrol de Volvic. Written by Hacq, engraver of the war depot. Paris, 1836. Faux-title (69.8 x 56 cm), title (69.8 x 110.5 cm) and 45 [of 50] maps, consisting of 47 folded cloth-covered sheets (subject 67 x 52.5 cm) with an engraved cardboard label on the back of each one (representing in miniature the part of the plan), and a vellum tab with numbering of the plates in ink. Original box case in red half-basane, golden rollers and fleurons (rubbing, slits; missing the false title, especially the city coat of arms, the 4 leaves almost detached: freckles on the title and false title, burnished cloth. Missing sheets 8, 9, 21, 24, 25). One of the most important atlases of Paris prior to the Haussmann transformations, this work by the architect Théodore Jacoubet, dedicated to the prefect of the Seine, Count Chabrol de Volvic, is rarely encountered.
