Two volumes in 1 vol. in-4, XV-203-VII-333 p., marbled calf glazed havana, spine with 5 ribs, red title piece, decorated boxes, red edges (split upper jaw, missing headdress, blunt corners, rubbed plates, gaps at the end of t.1, library stamp at the end of t.2).
Original edition describing the collection of Louis XV composed of Florentine, Roman, Venetian and Lombard schools. Illustrated with 3 engraved bands and 2 title vignettes, notably by C. N. Cochin. Copy on laid paper with large margins.
