NON VENU /// PAIR OF WOOD FABRICS with trapezoid backrest in finely molded and sculpted walnut with a frieze of pearls and heart stripes. The torso ribbed baluster armrests rest on tapered and fluted legs. The connecting dice decorated with rosettes. Stamped J.B. LELARGE. Louis XVI period. (Reinforcing brackets, entwined foot ends). D.: 87.5 x 59 x 64 cm. Jean-Baptiste III LELARGE was received as master carpenter in Paris on February 1, 1775. An identical pair in lacquered and gilded wood, part of a suite of six armchairs and six chairs come from a delivery to the Countess of Artois by Lelarge for her Pavillon de Saint-Cloud.
