In-8, 1024-25 pp. (including engraved title), [26] f., 17th c. tan calf, spine with five raised bands, garnet-red morocco title-piece, finely ornamented caissons, boards bordered by a double filleted border with angular fleurons (binding very tired, headpieces worn, corners very worn and other defects; small but not serious damage to the corner of the title) Two old handwritten ex-libris repeated on the liminary and in-fine f.: Jacobus Chamaret, priest, and Julien Menard. Attached: - ROSINUS (Joannes); DEMPSTER (Thomas). Antiquitatum Romanarum corpus absolutissimum, in quo praeter es quae Ioannes Rosinus delineaverat, infinita supplentur, mutantur, adduntur: ex criticis et omnibus utriusque linguae auctoribus collectum Geneva, apud P. & J. (the last one blank), modern fawn basane, spine with 5 nerves, title in burgundy chagrin, place, year and fleurons gilt, double fillet on the boards, red edges (pages browned, light angular spotting, large restoration to title page with handwritten replacement of missing letters, restoration to one folding plate). Title in red and black; text on 2 columns. Woodcut figures in-text and 2 folding plates (mounted on mitre), ibtitled: Descriptio urbis Romae, à Romulo conditae and Vetus romanorum castrametatio. Attached: - JUVENAL, PERSIA. Les satyres de Juvenal et de Perse, from the translation of Monsieur de Martignac, with remarks. Lyon, chez Antoine & Horace Molin, 1687. In-12, post mortem tan basane, spine with 5 nerves, red title-piece, ornamented caissons, red edges (corners slightly rubbed, freckles). Engraved frontispiece. French translation opposite the Latin text. 3 volumes.
