Rare 950 mm platinum WATCH-BRACELET, the curved tonneau-shaped case, the bezel entirely set with calibrated fancy-cut sapphires (wear), the horns set with cabochon sapphires, screwed white dial with guilloché background, Roman numerals, elliptical track markers, blued steel Bréguet hands, slightly deformed background, numbered 4284 (inside/outside), identical to the mechanical movement.
Gross weight: 26.5 g.
The Tonneau model was created by Cartier in 1906 just after the Santos in 1904, so it is one of the oldest wristwatches of the house. Our model is either just before the First World War or just after.
This watch has been restored in 2021 at Cartier, we will deliver the invoice to the buyer. See all photographs on

Provenance :
Jean STERN (1875-1962), in the family since.
Son of the famous banker Louis Stern and a banker himself, Jean Stern, a distinguished and very prudent dandy, married Claude
Lambert, daughter of Zoe de Rothschild and Baron Léon Lambert. But, in reality, Jean used his life to do much more than that: he was first an Olympic champion in team fencing, then a cavalry captain in the 3rd regiment of hussars during the First World War, a knight of the Legion of Honor, an officer of public instruction, a knight of the Order of
Leopold and distinguished in addition to the Military Cross and, oh sigh, decorated with the interallied medal of victory. He was also a man of letters, Charles Blanc prize for his work, awarded by the French Academy
Finally, he was a man with a passion for horses, owner-breeder of racehorses and stud farms, and president of the Chantilly racing society.
ADDENDUM :
- the watch was restored by the Cartier workshops in 2021 (we have a copy of the invoice which will be given to the buyer).
- There is another number on the movement, but it is not engraved.

至臻稀有的腕表手表，950pt珀金材质，酒桶形的外观设计，并因此得名，方形切割的蓝宝石（有磨损）镶嵌整个表壳外圈，与表带连接处镶嵌素面切割蓝宝石，白色玑镂珐琅雕纹表盘，罗马数字钟点标记，呈椭圆轨道状排列，直线与圆圈交错Breguet型蓝色指针，有些许变形，编号4284（内侧/外侧），与机械机芯相同。
克重：26.5g
此腕表于2021由卡地亚品牌进行过原厂维修养护，附带发票记录。

让-斯特恩 Jean STERN(1875-1962),一直由其家族收藏。
法国银行家路易斯-斯特恩Louis STERN之子，本身也为银行家，让-斯特恩与克劳迪-兰伯特Claude Lambert结婚，克劳迪-兰伯特为男爵Baron Léon Lambert与女男爵Baroness Zoe Lucie de Rothschild之女。让-斯特恩一生更为人熟知的是其击剑运动员生涯，他曾带领法国队获得奥运会击剑比赛男子团体金牌。第一次世界大战期间，他在第 3 轻骑兵团担任骑兵队长，并被授予荣誉军团骑士、公共教育军官和利奥波德骑士勋章，并获得军事十字勋章和胜利勋章 。他同时投身于文学，法国学院授予他查尔斯-布兰克Charles Blanc奖，以表彰其作品。赛马也是他毕生的热爱，他是赛马和马场的饲养者和所有者，他领导了几个赛马协会，特别是尚蒂伊Chantilly的赛马协会。
