Machuel, 1779. 2 vols. in-12, contemporary speckled tan basane, smooth spine decorated, title and greefs (in different colors for each vol.), marbled edges (headpieces worn, one jaw split over a few cm, corners a little dull, worms' tracery on the corner of one board, small marginal halo, few russets, endpaper detached). New revised edition of this philosophical and initiatory novel, by Andrew Ramsay (1693-1743), a Scottish writer who wrote one of the founding texts of 18th century Freemasonry.
