DARAGNÈS (Jean-Gabriel). Terres chaudes. Paintings of the Indian Ocean and Indo-China written and painted by Jean-Gabriel Daragnès. With an introduction by Léon-Paul Fargue. First edition of this work written, illustrated and composed by Daragnès, naval painter, engraver and publisher, recounting his trip to Vietnam, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Java, Mauritius and other places in the Far East. Frontispiece and 14 wood-engraved headbands printed in color, bistre culs-de-lampe. Limited edition of 129 copies on Vidalon vellum, reserved for members: this one numbered 40 (?) and nominative for a bibliophile (number and name crossed out). This copy is signed by the author at the end of printing and includes a suite of illustrations printed in various shades.
