Large in-8, 253 p., [2] f., brown half-maroquin with corners, with witnesses, spine with 4 raised bands, author, title and date gilt, mosaic caissons, gilt head, cover and spine preserved (spine a little faded, some rubbing). 16 plates, including a frontispiece portrait of Daudet, and vignettes in the text, all stencilled. One of 25 first copies on large Japanese paper (no. 11), including the portrait in 2 states, 3 suites of plates with remarks, one in color and one partly tinted, and an original signed watercolor by Auguste Leroux.
