In-8, green polished half-chagrin with corners, spine with 4 nerves, gilt author and title, gilt head, illustrated cover and spine preserved (spine faded and slight rubbing on nerves; qq. transfers of ill.). Tahitian-inspired illustration composed of 12 plates by Umberto Brunelleschi gilded on copper by Gorvel, Tahitian ornaments by Maurice L'Hoir, including headbands, lettering, culs-de-lampe, all stencilled in color by Saudé. Limited edition of 463 copies: one of 350 on Hollande (no. 302).
