In-8, gray morocco, spine with 4 raised bands, author, title and date gilt, gilt fillet at the edges, double covers edged with a havana mosaic decoration embellished with lilac flowers, double endpapers, gilt head, covers and spine preserved, untrimmed, slipcase edged [J. Van West] (spine very slightly faded). 18 compositions by H. Cassiers, stencilled in color: cover, 5 plates including frontispiece and 12 headbands. Edition of 600 copies on japon impérial: one of 100 reserved for Belgium (no. 3), comprising two illustration suites, including the cover, on wove paper, one in color, the other in black. Provenance: Dr. G. Marchal (woodcut bookplate by R. Bigot printed on japon).
