In-18, [2] f., III-307 p., contemporary brown basane, ornate smooth spine, red title-piece, gilt title, date recently stamped on tail (spine rubbed, corners and headpieces repaired, wetness and stains. Eugène de Monglave, polemicist and traveler from Bayonne, travelled throughout Latin America, particularly Brazil, whose literature he helped to introduce to France. Antique note on faux-title: "this book is composed by a godless man".
