[Parnasse]. Set of 2 volumes. - PARNASSICULET CONTEMPORAIN (Le) Recueil de vers nouveaux précédé de l'Hôtel du Dragon Bleu et orné d'une très étrange eau-forte. Paris, Lemerre, 1867 and 1872. 2 works in one vol. in-12, 36 p. ; 52 p., pl., recent binding, half morocco with tan corners, five-ribbed spine, gilt title, date and place on tail, gilt head, parchment covers preserved (russeting and spotting on 1st fascicle). First edition, and second edition, enriched with 9 previously unpublished pieces, of this parody of Contemporary Parnassus. This work was imagined and composed by the so-called Clamart colony, with Paul Arène, principal author, and A. Daudet, A. Delvau, Jean du Beys and Renard. The authors' names have been added in pencil after each poem in the first fascicule. Etched frontispiece "La muse et le chat" by Delor, a pupil of Gérôme. The second edition is one of 20 copies on colored paper (unjustified) and contains the same etching in 3 states. - RUDLER (Madeleine R.). Parnassiens, symbolistes et décadents, esquisse historique.
