Seutter, [circa 1720?] One copper-engraved map, 48.8 x 56.8 cm, colored, canvas-backed, folded in a contemporary brown basane in-12 slipcase, bearing on one side the cold-engraved title "Post. Carten von Italien" on one side (flaws at the edges of the case, re-tinted). Beautiful map of Italy originally published by Domenico de Rossi in Rome between 1684 and 1697, in the atlas "Mercurio Geografico". Germanic copy, embellished with ornamental cartouches, including one signed by the engraver E. Bäck a Held (?). The map covers Italy with the exception of the southern part of Sicily, and also includes the coasts of Dalmatia, Corsica and Sardinia.
