[16th c. book]. CICERON. De philosophia volumen secundum, id est... cum scholiis... Venetiis, apud Aldi filios, 1546. In-8, [3] f., f.2-213, [16] f., [sign. A-Z 8, AA-EE 8], soft vellum with old covers, smooth muted spine, modern laces (binding washed, endpapers renewed; title a little soiled with a few scratched letters, a few rare light stains, wetness in margins of f. 26 to 38, of which 31-38 browned, small worm tract in margin of book C, discreet underlining). Annotated edition published by Paul Manutius, comprising 10 volumes published between 1540 and 1554. This is the second, stand-alone volume, containing: De natura deorum, De divinatione, De fato, De legibus, De universitate, De petitione consulatus ad Marcum fratrem. Printer's mark repeated on title and on v° of last f. (Renouard, Annales, I, 322, no. 3).
