In-folio, [4]-LXXIIII (i.e. 64) f., fig., pl., 19th c. blond calf, 5-ribbed spine, black title page, double gilt fillet on the caissons, gilt roulette at the edges, marbled edges (spine browned, headbands rubbed, corners dull, scratches on the boards, not serious; title, 2 f. (45 and 46) and 2 plates are facsimiles, 3rd plate missing; 2nd f. a little soiled, minor soiling on f. c6 v°, moderate russeting and soiling; margin of 2nd f. restored).
Very rare first edition of this compilation of works by Antoine de La Sale (c. 1385 - c.1460), including Paradis de la reine Sibylle, Excursion aux îles Lipari, and Traité de géographie. It is dedicated to Jean d'Anjou, Duke of Calabria, husband of Marie de Bourbon.
The illustration, entirely woodcut, consists of 3 folding plates (the figure of Mont de la Sibille and the genealogy of the kings of Aragon, here in facsimile, and the figure of the earth, absent here), and 32 vignettes in the text, 2 full-page and 8 half-page. Numerous woodcut initials in the text, some historiated.
