Small in-4, [1] f. (title in a rocaille frame in ink wash), 107 p. figures, contemporary black chagrin, spine with 4 nerves and mute, ornate caissons, wide gilded floral frame to the boards, gilded edges (tail box torn off). Manuscript from a German or Austrian Premonstratensian order. Meticulously calligraphed, the two styles of writing are intermingled, highlighting paragraph headings and certain passages. Enclosed: [Manuscript]. [Theology, German, 18th c.]. Liturgical manuscript in German, carefully calligraphed in red and black, consisting of [8] f. (including the title), then paginated from 1 to 94, 103 to 198: pages 95 to 102 have been torn out. Small in-12, contemporary binding in marbled havana calf, 3-nerved spine, ornate caissons, roulette edging the boards, gilt edges (binding dedicated and reteinted). Total of 2 volumes.
