Two parts in one folio volume, [6] f., 104 p., [4] f., 58 p., [1] f., period soft parchment, modern laces (spine stained and split, boards creased, rough rebacking with new endpapers; gaps filled in margin of 1st ff, title faded, wetness at beginning of vol. then head margins, ink stains at foot of pages and end of vol. margins, small holes in text p.103 ff). First edition published by Froben in Basel, bringing together two treatises by the humanist jurist André Tiraqueau (1488-1558), a close friend of Guillaume Budé and François Rabelais. These two treatises were first published in Lyon by Guillaume Rouillé in 1560. Portrait of the author on the v° of the title, Froben's mark on the title and v° of the last page, initials, all woodcut. Early ink signature or motto on title, another crossed out. (USTC 611478).
