In-12, [10] f., 480 p. + [1] f., p.481-592, [4] f., p.3-130, [1] f., late 18th-century fawn calf, 5-ribbed spine, red author's and title-pieces, ornate bindings, gilt-framed Greek frieze to boards, stippling to edges, red edges (clumsy restorations, joins split, lower board almost detached). Engraved title-frontispiece and portrait of the author by Jacob van Meurs. A good edition, with a second part, of this collection of letters and poems by the famous precious poet, a familiar figure at the Hôtel de Rambouillet.
