Paris, Aux dépens d'un Amateur, 1930. 2 vols. in-4, burgundy morocco, gilt author, title and tomaison, gold paper decoration on front flyleaves and endpapers, the front flyleaf framed in silver paper, covers and spines preserved, slipcases lined (slipcases rubbed, slightly split and dull, one slipcase spine partly split, spines of vol. slightly rubbed). 74 original drypoints by Marcel Vertès, including frontispiece, title vignette and 29 plates. Edition strictly limited to 99 numbered copies on Arches wove paper, including a suite of illustrations with remarks (bound opposite the illustration or following) and a suite of the 15 rejected plates (no. 1). Our copy is enriched by a continuation of the illustrations which is Provenance: engraved armorial bookplate of le Roffray.
