In-8 square, recent cornered cherry basane, smooth spine, gilt author, title and illustrator, large gilt geometric frieze, cold fillet to boards, illustrated cover preserved (slight rubbing). 18 color illustrations by André Collot, including 7 plates, 8 in-text and 2 culs-de-lampe. Numbered edition limited to 515 copies on Arches vellum: one of 450 (no. 418) containing the definitive state of the illustrations.
