CHATELIN, Charles. La Chorée Chronique Héréditaire de Huntington. Etude anatomo-clinique (Anatomical-clinical study) from the department and laboratory of Professor Pierre Marie at the Salpêtrière Hospital between 1919 and 1922. Two volumes in In-4 format, brown half-chagrin, spine ribbed. Spine ribbed. 155 pages with 6 plates of sections for the text volume, and 8 plates, each with two color microphotographs, for the atlas. Binding damaged, hinge open, but interior in good condition. Rather atypical typescript document from the department of Dr. Pierre Marie (1853-1940), then practicing at the Salpêtrière. This is a study report on Huntington's hereditary chronic chorea, a neurological disorder studied through several cases observed before the war, with an atlas of color microphotographs (photographs of microscope observations) accompanying the text and capturing the neurons or brain areas affected. Also included are various elements of the cases studied: graphic tests, interrogations revealing the incoherence of their statements, comments, etc.
