Trace of paint at the bottom of the spine and two small spalls. Second edition, with a preface by Jean-Pierre Franck (1745-1821), a German physician. In this work, the Scottish physician William Cullen (1710-1790) proposes a classification of diseases into four groups (febrile diseases, disorders of the nervous system, metabolic disorders and localized diseases). Handwritten bookplate on title page. Interesting edition in very good condition, representing an early attempt to classify diseases, in an attractive binding.
