LUQUET, Aimé and HUMBERT, Henri Jean. Les colonies xérotherm - Lot 398
LUQUET, Aimé and HUMBERT, Henri Jean. Les colonies xérothermiques de l'Auvergne. Recherches sur la Géographie botanique du Massif Central. Published in Aurillac by Imprimerie Moderne in 1937. In octavo / In-8 paperback. 328 pages, + 16 plates and 2 fold-out maps. A work by botanist Aimé Luquet (1885-1978) dealing with xerophilous plants, plants adapted to a hot, dry climate forming a pocket of vegetation atypical of a temperate region. The study is enriched with out-of-text plates and two folding maps in color. This copy includes an autograph letter from the author on the false title, addressed to "Monsieur Turchini". Very good condition in all respects.
