In twelve / In-12 format. Black half-basane. Smooth spine decorated with gilt filleting, filleting, stippling and fleurons, author and title in gilt lettering. Endpapers with pebbled pattern. VIII+204 pages. Upper headband damaged, headbands rubbed, one spine split, corners bare. Scattered brown spots, more present at the beginning and end of the book. First edition of the second collection in the "ballons" series, the first having appeared in 1802, by Armand Gouffé, famous chansonnier under the Consulate and Empire, nicknamed "the Panard of the 19th century". A fine copy.
