* A pair of low bookcases with a slight central recess, decorated with brass and tortoiseshell inlays in the first and counterparts, opening with a door in the center and two glazed leaves on either side. Each central panel is adorned with foliage scrolls and tendrils, while the frames of the side doors are also decorated with foliage scrolls and tendrils. The ebony veneered top, sides and fields are highlighted with brass fillets. Gilt bronze ornamentation such as satyr masks, scrolled spandrels, keyways with facing roosters, rosettes, moldings and rings. Louis XIV style, partly composed of antique elements. D. of low bookcase in first part : H. 124 cm. Width: 195.8 cm (back) and 196.1 cm (front) Depth: 37 cm and 39 cm at widest. D. of counterpart low bookcase: H. 124.7 cm.
