Fawn calf, spine ribbed with gilt fillet and two black morocco title-pieces, caissons decorated with a double gilt fillet and small gilt irons, triple gilt fillet with Duseuil decoration, gilt inner lace, double gilt fillet on the edges, guilloche headpieces, gilt edges. 20 ff.n.ch., 483 pages, 2 ff.n.ch. table, frontispiece, 2 engraved bandeaux, one signed Nicolas Tardieu and Antoine Homblot, numerous culs-de-lampe and lettrines. Minor foxing, one tear not missing at bottom corner p.385. Second edition of the Psalms translated by J.B. Vassoult. The text is given in two columns, one bearing the French text and the other, smaller, in the margin, bearing the Latin text. Attached is an engraving by Hans Collaert depicting King David. A pleasant copy in a very fine modern pastiche binding.
