YVES SAINT-LAURENT Rive Gauche (Paris-Made in France) Circa early 1980. Greek-inspired long skirt with material effect, in ecru cotton drape enhanced by a wide red border at the bottom, enriched with red and green braid with black tassels. Size 38. (Vintage condition, stains, yellowing, missing tassels, detached fastening hook). Yves Saint-Laurent's trip to Greece in 1981 was an important source of inspiration for him, from which this singular skirt is derived. The perfume Kouros, launched in 1981, is a famous example.
