Nice, Joseph Pardo - À l'Enseigne du Sefer, 1963. 2 tomes in 2 folio volumes, loose-leaf, double covers (pink and white), publisher’s slipcases of brown felt lined with green felt, beige cloth spines with titles running lengthwise. Normal wear and scuffing on the slipcases. 105 and 81 pp., out-of-text illustrations set within openwork serpent motifs. A luxurious edition of this treatise on falconry composed between 1350 and 1360 by the Lord of Gisors, Henry de Ferrières. Each page is adorned with a frame illuminated by Ansaldi and illustrated by Gradassi with full-color plates. A fine print by Daragnès. Limited edition of 1,167 copies; this one is one of 750 numbered on Rives vellum, “in a deluxe slipcase from Editions d’Art Sefer.” In fine condition.
