PEREC, Georges. *Les Revenentes*. Paris, Julliard—"Idée fixe" series, 1972. Narrow 8vo, illustrated cover with flaps. 126 pp. Paper slightly browned at the margins. First edition—of which no large-format edition was ever printed—of one of Georges Perec’s (1936–1982) most obviously Oulipian texts. This text, composed using no vowel other than -e, was published three years after its antithesis, *La Disparition*, which prohibited the use of that very same letter. Our copy contains two typographical corrections (pages 12 and 15) in black ink that remove two -u’s—letters that were banned from the outset but printed due to a lapse in attention on the part of the publisher or the author himself? In excellent condition.
