Autograph signed by the author on the preserved cover (partly erased and truncated by a restoration). Provenance : spine decorated with Chabot's weapons. Enclosed : NEY (Joseph-Napoleon). The last judicial duel in France. Souvenirs from the castle of Saint-Germain. [Paris, circa 1835]. In-8, p. [931]-964, red polished half gilt with period corners, gilt title in length (small slit at the head of the upper bit, freckles). Excerpt from the Revue des deux mondes.
