* UZÈS (Marie-Clémentine de Rochechouart-Mortemart d'). My son's trip to the Congo. Paris, Plon, Nourrit & Cie, 1894. In-4, plum morocco, spine with 5 protruding ribs, gilt author and title, gilt fleurons, double gilt fillet at the cuts, fawn morocco lining with gilt decoration of geometric interlacing and cold vegetable fleurons, gilt head, [R. Petit] (spine evenly faded brown, some russeting at the edges). First edition including a frontispiece portrait of Jacques de Crussol d'Uzès in heliogravure, and a facsimile of a letter (mounted on tabs) from the Duke Jacques d'Uzès of April 27, 1892 to his mother, and black illustrations in text and off-text after Riou. Provenance: back bearing the pieces of arms of Rohan-Chabot (masks, sculpins and an ermine at the head).
