In-folio, publisher's yellow cardboard, spine muted, illustrated title on upper cover (covers a little rubbed and soiled, corners dull; light russeting, plate 1 torn without missing, plate 17 lacking; russeting and fingerprints). Collection consisting of 21 [of 22] lithographed plates, featuring a central vignette surrounded by several small figures. Publisher's catalogue, in-4, 8 p., bound at the end Attached: - GIACOMELLI. CHAM. DESNOYERS (Louis). The misadventures of Jean-Paul Choppart illustrated by H. Giacomelli. New edition with engravings out of text by Cham. Paris, Hetzel (Bibl. de Récréation), [1875]. In-8, [2] f., IV-332 p., [4] f. (catalogue), pl., figs. in red cloth boards, spine and upper board with gilt title and richly decorated with black and gold floral design, similar design in black on lower board, gilt edges (slight rubbing to corners and headpieces). Edition illustrated with numerous woodcuts, including 8 hors-texte after Cham, the others in the text after Giacomelli. Hetzel catalogue at the end announcing volumes published in 1875. That is to say 3 volumes.
