In-8, publisher's blue percaline, boards decorated with gilt plates on the boards and the spine, the upper board after Peau engraved by Rouargue. 8 plates engraved on metal after the drawings and engraved by the Rouargue brothers. - CHASLES (Philarète). In-8, publisher's blue percaline, boards and spine decorated with gilt and polychrome plates, the upper board after Haarhaus, gilt edges (slight rubbing to the headpieces; boards browned, light foxing). Illustrated with steel engravings after Van Dyck, Rubens and Cattemorle, and woodcuts including 18 plates. Provenance: ex-libris label of Gaston Héliot. - WALLON (Henri). Saint Louis. Tours, Mame et fils, 1878. In-8, red polished half-chagrin with corners, spine with 5 nerves, author, title, publisher and date gilt, decorated caissons and gilt fleur-de-lis, gilt fillet on the boards, gilt head (nerves, corners and edges rubbed). First edition illustrated with a coloured frontispiece, 38 plates (9 in colour), 4 double maps, 3 facsimiles of letters and 224 engravings in the text. That is 5 volumes.
