GREKOFF. SCHLUMBERGER (Jean). Au bivouac. S.l., Plaudite Amici, 1951. In-4, leaves, filled folder, muted publisher's slipcase and folder (slipcase rubbed and unstained; light and scattered russets). Narrative by Jean Schlumberger, preceded by an unpublished preface by the author, published in facsimile from the manuscript. Published "on the initiative of a group of bibliophiles and friends of the author wishing to express their admiration for him". It is illustrated by the Russian painter Elie Grékoff (1914-1985) with 11 lithographs, including a portrait of the author signed in pencil by the artist, and woodcut ornaments (initials, vignette and cul-de-lampe). The painter also designed the page layout. Limited edition of 47 copies on Auvergne paper from Moulin Richard de Bas (n°45).
