Founded in 1931, the Compagnie typographique is a society of bibliophiles whose purpose is to produce remarkable books, from the point of view of composition and the choice of typefaces used. - RACINE (Jean). Hymns translated from the Roman Breviary. [Paris], La Compagnie typographique, 1985. In-4 oblong, 66 p., [2] f., in sheets under cover decorated with an embossed vignette, publisher's chestnut cloth folder and case. Superb realization of the printer Robert Blanchet, only owner of the Augustaux typefaces coming from the Lyon printer Louis Perrin. Limited edition of 88 copies on Auvergne paper in the hand of Richard-de-Bas, and a few copies of collaborators: one of these, numbered III/XXV. - BERTRAND (Aloysius). Gaspard de la nuit. 1978. In-4, 219 p., [4] f., in sheets under publisher's filled cover. Limited edition of 113 copies on pure Montgolfier d'Annonay linen: one of the 25 copies (n° VII) reserved for the contributors. - MÉRIMÉE (Prosper). La double méprise. 1991. Large in-8, 137 p., [2] f., in sheets with marbled cover and publisher's slipcase. Letters drawn and engraved on wood by the printer Robert Blanchet. Limited edition of 105 copies on tinted vellum of Richard-de-Bas : one of the 17 chapel copies (marked " H.C. " ). That is 3 volumes. Provenance: Mr. Robert Blanchet, éditions d'Auteuil.
