Third Elzevier edition, bringing together three of Descartes' major works: I. Principia philosophiae. [20] f., 222 p. II. Specimina philosophiae seu dissertatio de methodo recte regendae rationis et veritatis in scientiis investigandae : Dioptrice et Meteora, [8] f., 248 p. III. Passiones animae. [12] f., 92 p., [2] f. The last two are each preceded by a separate title page with the same address and date. The volume is illustrated with numerous woodcut figures and an intaglio portrait of Descartes by Fr. van Schooten. Old underlining and annotations at the beginning of the first and second parts. The figure on p.123 is annotated, and a small figure drawn in the margin of p.124.
