Edition illustrated with 2 unsigned copper-engraved frontispieces. Also included: - VOLTAIRE: Romans et contes de M. de Voltaire. A Bouillon, aux dépens de la Société typographique, 1778. 3 vol. in-12, contemporary speckled brown basane, 5-rib spine, title-pieces, red edges (binding rubbed, some headpieces uncovered; some soiling). Old signature repeated on titles, Castillon; modern engraved bookplate, Debièvre. - ROUSSEAU (Jean-Jacques). Les pensées... A Amsterdam, s.n, 1763. In-12, XII-336 p. contemporary tortoiseshell basane, 5-rib spine, title page, ornate bindings, marbled edges, restorations including to headpieces and corners. Dutch counterfeit published the same year as the original Paris edition. Early signature at the head of the title "Bertrand Châtillon". 3 works in 6 volumes.
