C. Stöffels, 1715. Very large in-4, [3] f., 976 p. (miscalculated 676), [42] f., figs, contemporary brown basane, spine with 4 nerves, title-piece (ex. tired and handled, title torn and faded, browning and some light wetness, without frontispiece). The first third of the volume, illustrated with qq. woodcut figures, concerns cosmography proper, then air, water, mountains; then territories of selected monarchies are described: Portugal, Spain, France (p.522 to 778), Switzerland; the final chapter is devoted to unknown territories near the North Pole. Handwritten bookplates dated 1792 and 1841.
