[LA FEUILLE (Daniel de)]. Unique edition of this manual composed, engraved and published by Daniel de La Feuille (1640-1709), a Protestant engraver and publisher of French origin, who took refuge in Amsterdam. He is also known to have published a collection of emblems in 1691. The illustration, entirely engraved on copper, consists of a title-frontispiece and 52 plates, some of them drawn on the v° side of the previous one, as follows: 27 plates in the corpus, 19 plates, including a title dated 1693, for the chapter "Supports et cimiers pour les ornemens des armes", and 6 plates offering 36 figures of flags.
Provenance: on the endpapers, 19th c. armorial drystamp and another modern stamp.
