Rare Rouen edition of this polemical work by the Catholic bishop of Ross in Scotland, John Leslie (1527-1596), exiled supporter of Mary Stuart and refugee in France, vicar of Rouen then bishop of Coutances, a see he did not occupy due to his imprisonment under Henry IV. Title in woodcut frame, copy ruled.
