Neaulme, 1731. 4 vol. in-4, contemporary ivory vellum, 5-rib spine edged with gilt roulette, gilt title, fleurons and coats of arms, speckled edges (q.q. defects, t.4 shows tears to boards, worm spots to spine, wetness at foot, with gaps affecting q.q. letters at end gross. repaired; paper browned). Good edition by Nicolas Lenglet Du Fresnoy. Illustrated with a portrait engraved on copper by Debrie and dated 1729, here opposite p.117, a vignette with Marot's bust, engraved on copper by A. Vander Laan and repeated on the 4 title pages, bands engraved on copper by Filloeul. Provenance: Francesco Saverio de Zelada, (1717-1801), Italian cardinal (arms on spine and engraved armorial bookplate); Laurent Pichat (etiq. 20th c. bookplate). (Brunet III, 1458).
