(Index), 126 p., 18th c. ivory vellum with flaps, smooth spine, title and author in brown ink, double cold filleting to boards, traces of laces (slight soiling to boards). First edition of this collection of unpublished fragments of ancient authors collected, translated into Latin and commented on by Henri de Valois (1603-1676). The original Greek texts appear alongside their translation. Provenance: early signature on title, De Walsenaer Wouw; on one endpaper: Jo. Augusti Ernesti; modern label of Détrez bookseller in Paris.
