In-8, CCV-[43] f., old ochre-turned leather binding, probably rebacked, spine with 3 nerves, gilt author and title, cold fleurons, one corner restored (spine browned, title worn with lac. filled in margin and modern stamp, a few wet spots, and a few more marginal essays, ink stains not serious fol.198-199, hole on f. New edition of this version, drawn up by Jean Chappuis with notes by Cosme Guymier, of the famous Pragmatic Sanction, a decree issued by Charles VII in 1438 ratifying the royal responsibility towards the Church of France. This decision gave rise to numerous controversies, until it was abolished by the Concordat of Bologna in 1516.
